This rich green sweater presents a powerful embroidered composition that intertwines Malta's natural heritage with its deep biblical connections. The centerpiece is the leopard snake (Maltese lifgħa), which is immortalised in the Bible through the story of St Paul, who was bitten by the snake yet suffered no ill effects upon reaching Malta's shores. The snake encircles the Maltese rock-centaury (widnet il-baħar), Malta's national plant since 1973. Completing the design are delicate daisies (bebuna), whose simple yet elegant forms provide a gentle counterpoint to the dramatic elements.
Made in Portugal using 100% organic cotton. The regular fit of this sweater offers versatile comfort, while the dark green fabric provides a rich background that enhances the embroidery's visual impact. Unisex.

There are no production lines at The Secret Rose. Every product is individually designed and put together by Sarah. Orders for sweaters and hoodies are collected on a monthly basis. The sweaters we use are made to order in an ethically-run plant in Portugal. By choosing not to carry unnecessary stock, our products are better for the environment, reduce waste and guarantee that the clothes used as the base for our work are made by people who are paid a fair wage.
