One of the standout pieces of the collection, this oversized vintage white sweater showcases a striking design that brings Malta's botanical contrasts to life. Commanding attention is the vibrant poppy (peprina ħamra), an indigenous flower whose bold presence captures the ephemeral beauty that briefly carpets the Maltese countryside before summer’s heat takes hold. Creating a fascinating juxtaposition is the architectural tree houseleek (kalluwa or siġret il-kalli), a succulent which represents the evolving nature of the Maltese landscape.
Made in Portugal using 100% organic cotton. Set against the warm vintage white fabric, the embroidery creates a bold visual statement that remains sophisticated and wearable, while the oversized silhouette offers contemporary comfort. Unisex.

There are no production lines at The Secret Rose. Every product is individually designed and put together by Sarah. Orders for sweaters and hoodies are collected on a monthly basis. The sweaters we use are made to order in an ethically-run plant in Portugal. By choosing not to carry unnecessary stock, our products are better for the environment, reduce waste and guarantee that the clothes used as the base for our work are made by people who are paid a fair wage.
